I've noticed that people often assume San Diego is flat. The thinking must be "San Diego = Beach, Beach = flat, flat = no details" . Nothing could be further from the truth. As even I, a native, am realizing, San Diego has a lot of little nooks and crannies: Hills and Canyons, Cul de sacs on the edges of mesas, and funny streets that end on one side of a valley or canyon and start up on the other side.
I hope to show some of these odd little spots in future posts, with photos and Google maps.
